Board of Management
Mironne Golan - President
Tanya Bortz - Vice President
Tanya has been a member of North Shore Synagogue for the past 15 years, after moving to the North Shore with her husband Clive in 2009, just before the birth of their eldest son. Together they have two school age children – Kai and Kobi. Tanya grew up in Manchester, England and has been living in Sydney since 2001.
Tanya is an experienced project management and business analysis consultant, bringing a wealth of corporate experience from working in various investment banks, as well as a thorough understanding of the workings of the not-for-profit sector, where she now focuses her business.
Jeremy Levy - Vice President
Jeremy Levy is Vice President of North Shore Synagogue and has been on the Board since 2022.
Jeremy is also a director of NSWJBD in June 2023, having been involved on the Community Relations Committee since 2019. Jeremy and his wife Natalie live in Killara and enjoy being active members of the North Shore Synagogue.

As a 6th generation New Zealander, Jeremy grew up very involved in the Auckland Jewish Community as a madrich with Habonim (attended Shnat/Machon in 1990) and then as an inaugural member of NZ CSG and head of NZ CSG for 5 years. He lived in Israel for 8 years and has been in Sydney since January 2008, where he has had periods on the Boards of Maroubra Synagogue and Masada College and has been the honorary solicitor for Maroubra Synagogue since 2011.

Professionally, he works as the CEO of CyBiz Pty Ltd, a cybersecurity services consulting company, and is also a corporate partner in Agmon with Tulchinsky, a top tier Israeli law firm with offices in Sydney. He is also a director of a number of companies.
Peter Vickers - Treasurer
We joined the shul in 1980 when we moved to Roseville. Leonie and I have 3 daughters and 8 grandchildren and when the whole family attends shul the noise level goes up.

I joined the board as Treasurer about 12 years ago and also served 2 years as president. My accounting practice is at the end of the shul exit drive and my shul attendance is broken when I go skiing both in Australia and oversea. My sculptures of Rabbi Aviv and the giant matzah have appeared occasionally at shul on Pesach.
Robert Samuel
I joined the Board after more than a decade advising for-impact and faith based organisations on responding to changes in markets, community expectations, regulation and technology.
I have participated in the life and work of North Shore Synagogue since childhood. I am enjoying working with the people of the North Shore, our Community, Board and leaders of the Congregation as we reimagine a home for a welcoming and meaningful Jewish life in and around the North Shore of Sydney.
