One Chapter at a Time

This interest group is for people who enjoy reading but consider themselves time poor.

 

Our aim is to focus on short stories by Jewish writers.

Our journey began with Serge Liberman, then to Etgar Keret, Ephraim Kishon, Shalom Aleichem, and S.Y Agnon. There are many more to come.

 

A group of enthusiasts meet on the second Thursday afternoon of each month in the Rev Katz Library or online when COVID concerns necessitate it. Discussion becomes very animated as both the short stories and the authors are analysed.

We welcome readers who share our interest in Jewish authors. Currently we are following the American organisation Jewish Book Council which is inviting essays from
Israeli authors as they describe their current situation: click here
